The MA12000 hybrid integrated amplifier is the product of uncompromising sound engineering and expert craftsmanship.  Our most powerful integrated amplifier ever,  the feature -rich MA12000 delivers 350W per channel of pure power to create a breathtaking home audio experience .  You 'll think your favorite musicians are playing in the your home live .  The MA12000 gives you the best of all worlds , with the warm nuances of a tube preamp combined with the speed and raw power of a solid-state amp,  state-of-the-art digital audio artistry ,  and enough analog audio connections for virtually any home music system .  MA12000 is a hybrid design with the preamp section powered by 4 12AX7A tubes (2 tubes per channel ) while the power amp section uses a solid state design.  Our Autoformer ™  technology ensures that your speakers will always be able to receive the full 350 W ,  regardless of whether they have an impedance of 2,  4 or 8 Ohm.  The MA12000 has 10 analog inputs consisting of 2 XLR and 6 RCA inputs,  plus 1 MC and 1 MM input for connecting a turntable.  Both phono inputs have adjustable loading for fine - tuning to your particular turntable configuration ,  so your vinyl collection sounds just.  All unbalanced analog connectors are made from premium gold-plated brass for excellent signal processing and grounding.  The MA12000 also has 1 XLR and 1 RCA output if you ever want to connect to another amplifier that is used in another part of the house.  For digital music,  the MA12000 is supplied with the DA2 digital module installed .  The DA2 houses 7 digital audio inputs:  2 coaxial,  2 optical,  1 USB and 1 MCT (for use with our SACD / CD Transport series ) and 1 HDMI ARC audio link .  The DA2 is powered by next- generation,  8-channel,  32-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC),  with four-band balancing.  This audiophile DAC features improved dynamic range and improved overall harmonic distortion.  The DA2 supports high - resolution digital audio playback as the USB input supports native playback up to DSD512 and DXD up to 384kHz,  while coaxial and optical inputs can decode digital music up to 24-bit / 192kHz.  The HDMI (ARC) input allows you to connect compatible HDMI (ARC) output TVs to the MA12000 and your home stereo system ,  bringing a new level of TV audio performance and movie viewing that TV speakers or audio slats simply cannot.  to ensure.  Popular multi-channel audio formats Dolby ®  and DTS ®  are supported and will be expertly converted to two-channel audio for proper playback .  When CEC communication is enabled on both the MA12000 and your TV ,  the TV remote control can control power and volume on MA12000.  The DA2 can be replaced with newer modules in the future to keep your MA12000 up to date as new digital audio formats and technologies evolve .  The DA2 is Roon Tested by Roon Labs ,  which can be especially useful if you have a large digital music library .  He was profiled and tested by both Roon and McIntosh for maximum compatibility.  Roon recognizes this and sends him sound optimized for his capabilities.  Roon Tested devices are automatically identified and configured out of the box for a superior customer experience.  The top of the MA12000 model is highlighted by some updated elements of industrial design.  The autoformers and power transformer are now contained in a new glass - top housing ,  which is covered by a glass nameplate decorated with a decorative ring.  Key technical parameters and a detailed block diagram are printed on 5 glass panels.
