The LEGRIA HF G70 features an advanced hybrid AF system that can be set to fast or smooth AF.  You can adjust the focus by touching the desired AF point on the 3.5-inch LCD display.  For even greater accuracy and comfort, especially in busy environments where the subject must be kept in the frame, Face Detection AF and Face Tracking can help, while manual focusing is available via the lens control ring.

LEGRIA HF G70 supports MP4 format for playback via compatible TV.  In addition, it can record 4K UHD recordings in 25P at 150 Mb/s, and Full HD recordings in 50P/25P at 17/35 Mb/s.

The many output and recording options include infrared mode, 0.5x slow-motion Full HD recording, up to 1200x accelerated 4K/Full HD recording, and various theme modes.  The custom picture menu allows color matching with other Canon cameras, while the sound scene mode enables sound recording adapted to the environment.  Simultaneous backup and memory switching recording thanks to the two SD card slots.
