DiGy Superb Effector &Developing Board is the 16 in 1 high quality compact and durable multi guitar, bass, vocal, DJ and other instruments and sound sources FX has been produced by MP Custom FX for almost 10 years. It may be used serial in chain in front of any kind of instrument up to HI-FI preamps, amplifiers and mixers, also in send/return line. DiGy also exists in stereo version in slightly bigger enclosure.
DiGy is made of US LA company Spin Semiconductor FV-1 chip which acts as Digital Signal Processor DSP in audio environment, hand soldered, not baked which means that it is few times less exposed to the critical high temperature which may change characteristics of components.
This pedal and stereo edition of it may be also used as development board by writing included EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) with up to eight programs/effects you made or buy or freely find among hundreds on the web.
In this particular box there are included 16 different effects, 8 in internal memory of every FV-1 chip and 8 in external memory which may be overwritten with desired programs/effects.
Internal effects are CHORUS / REVERB FLANGER / REVERB TREMOLO / REVERB PITCH SHIFT PITCH ECHO BUFFER / BY PASS REVERB 1 REVERB 2
External programs are FLANGER CHORUS / REVERB CHORUS / FLANGER PHASER FLANGER OCTAVER SHIMMER REVERB ECHO REPEAT
On the internet, you may find drivers, software and hardware (USB programmer) which cover all steps from downloading, editing, programming effects and writing or reading external EEPROM.
Controls are 3 pots for different parameters of effects and 4th one is for dry/wet mix of audio signal.
Inside are gilded pins for connecting USB programmer to communicate with external EEPROM via I2C communication protocol (Inter-Integrated Circuit). Two are for SDA and SCL Serial Data and Clock lines and other two is for power supply 3,3 Volts and ground, provided by USB programmer.
