The appearance of the RØ DE X series audio products is due to the development of the UNIFY audio software.  The goal of the development was to combine all the audio functions needed by gamers and streamers into one easy-to-use application, which until now was only available through the combined use of several different software.  With the help of the software, the sounds of four different USB microphones or other USB audio devices, as well as six different virtual audio signals can be assigned to channels and mixed simultaneously on an intuitive user interface.  Virtual channels can be used to handle the sound of computer software such as games, chat and music applications, or even audio that can be played from the Internet.  With the software, several freely variable output mixes can be created, so that, for example, the stream of a live broadcast, the output of headphones or different chat applications can receive independent outputs at the same time.  Studio-quality audio processing is available for the microphone channels, a sound effect or a pre-recorded audio material can be played from the programmable 'sound pads' at any time, and the end result can be recorded on the computer on several tracks at the same time as the live broadcast.
